Hunter Cosmetic Studio was founded by Registered Nurse Alison McQueen to provide professional cosmetic nursing and skin treatments in a welcoming, considered and client-focused environment.
The studio was created from Alison’s belief that cosmetic and skin treatments should begin with education, careful consultation and an understanding of the individual. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Hunter Cosmetic Studio focuses on personalised treatment planning, evidence-based care and natural-looking outcomes.
In June 2026, Hunter Cosmetic Studio entered an exciting new chapter following the acquisition of Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence, an established beauty salon in Georgetown with a long history of caring for clients across Newcastle.
Today, Hunter Cosmetic Studio operates from within Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence at Georgetown.
The two businesses continue to coexist as separate but complementary brands. Hunter Cosmetic Studio provides cosmetic nursing and advanced skin services, while Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence continues to offer beauty therapy, facials, massage, skin treatments and traditional salon services.
Bringing the two businesses together allows clients to access a broader range of professional beauty, skin and cosmetic nursing services from one convenient location.
Although the brands share a home, each retains its own identity, service offering and connection with its clients.

Hunter Cosmetic Studio and Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence now operate together from the Lilly Victoria salon in Georgetown.
This shared location brings together the clinical experience of Hunter Cosmetic Studio with the warmth, relaxation and established beauty services of Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence.
Clients can attend the one location for services including:
- cosmetic nursing consultations and treatments;
- advanced skin consultations;
- skin rejuvenation treatments;
- facials;
- Collagen induction therapy (microneedling)
- LED light therapy;
- massage;
- waxing;
- tinting;
- manicures and pedicures; and
- other beauty and self-care treatments.
The service recommended will depend on the client’s concerns, treatment goals, suitability and individual circumstances.
Our team works collaboratively across both brands to ensure clients receive appropriate guidance and a seamless experience.
Meet our Founder: Alison McQueen
Alison McQueen
Founder & Managing Director
Alison McQueen is the Founder and Managing Director of Hunter Cosmetic Studio and the owner of Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence.
Alison is a highly experienced Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of nursing, healthcare leadership and business experience across Australia and internationally.
Her nursing career has included acute care, operating theatres, day surgery, community nursing, residential care and senior healthcare management. Her earlier clinical experience included working in operating theatres across plastic surgery and dermatology, which contributed to her long-standing interest in skin health, facial anatomy and cosmetic nursing.
Before establishing Hunter Cosmetic Studio, Alison spent many years leading healthcare organisations and working with people across a broad range of clinical and community settings.
She founded Hunter Cosmetic Studio to create a professional and supportive environment where clients could receive considered cosmetic nursing and skin care based on education, individual assessment and evidence-based practice.
Alison believes clients should feel informed and comfortable throughout every stage of their treatment journey. Her approach is not centred on changing how someone looks. It is about listening carefully, understanding the client’s concerns and helping them make informed decisions about treatments that may support their skin health and confidence.
In June 2026, Alison acquired Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence and brought the two businesses together at the established Georgetown salon.
Her vision is to respect and preserve the history of Lilly Victoria while strengthening the business through expanded skin, beauty and cosmetic nursing services.
Alison remains closely involved in the day-to-day operations of both businesses and personally provides cosmetic nursing consultations and treatments.
She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly participates in advanced education and training with Australian cosmetic nursing, pharmaceutical and aesthetic medicine education providers.
Alison’s Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of experience;
- experience in operating theatres, including plastic surgery and dermatology;
- acute, surgical, community and residential healthcare experience;
- senior healthcare leadership and business management;
- cosmetic nursing and advanced skin education;
- ongoing professional development through Australian clinical and aesthetic education providers; and
- extensive experience establishing and managing healthcare businesses.
Her broader qualifications include postgraduate study in business, leadership and management, supporting her role as Managing Director across both Hunter Cosmetic Studio and Lilly Victoria Beauty Indulgence.
